CVE-2026-12201Public exploit

Local privilege escalation via arbitrary file deletion

Published Jun 15, 2026 · Updated Jun 15, 2026

Incorrect privilege assignment in IObit Malware Fighter 13.0 through 13.2.0 allows local users to gain elevated execution via file deletion. The exposed driver deletion path accepts an attacker-chosen filename and removes it with elevated rights; the PoC deletes ProductNews2.dll so a privileged process loads a planted replacement. Low-privilege local access is required, and successful exploitation yields high-integrity code execution and arbitrary file deletion.
