CVE-2026-12190Public exploit

Arbitrary app-internal file write via unsanitized display name

Published Jun 14, 2026 · Updated Jun 14, 2026

Path traversal in Genspark AI Workspace 2.8.4 for Android allows local users to write files within the app's internal storage. The exported MainActivity copies content from an attacker-supplied URI and uses its _display_name verbatim beneath the cache directory without filename sanitization or a canonical-path containment check. A zero-permission Android app can supply ../ segments to overwrite writable preferences, databases, or other files owned by Genspark; code execution and cross-app data access were not demonstrated.
