CVE-2026-12174Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated root code execution via CGI format string

Published Jun 13, 2026 · Updated Jun 13, 2026

Format-string injection in D-Link DCS-935L 1.10.01 allows remote authenticated users to execute code as root through the rhea CGI. The /web/cgi-bin/greece/rhea handler passes the sn and hwv HTTP parameters directly to snprintf as its format string, enabling stack reads and arbitrary memory writes. HTTP Basic or Digest authentication is required for remote requests; a localhost request bypasses that gate, and successful exploitation gives root control of the camera.
