Unauthenticated PDF disclosure via unrestricted embed endpoints
Published Jul 28, 2026 · Updated Jul 28, 2026
Missing authorization in WPEverest PDFDraft 1.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to download stored template PDFs. The serveTemplatePdfAjax function omits a capability check, while the serveTemplatePdf REST route accepts every request through an always-true permission callback. A known or guessable design slug reaches either public endpoint and exposes stored PDFs containing customer, invoice, order, certificate, or other personal data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
