CVE-2026-12116Network attack vector

Admin-level code execution via editable antivirus path

Published Jul 9, 2026 · Updated Jul 9, 2026

Code injection in Xerte Online Toolkits before 3.14.6 or 3.15.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP on the server. The tools server settings expose the antivirus command path, and website_code/php/import/fileupload.php passes every uploaded file to that command without constraining it to an antivirus executable. Administrative access is required to change the path; successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied PHP with the web service's privileges.
