Unauthenticated submission deletion via unchecked AJAX handler
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
Missing authorization in Ranit Advanced Contact Form 7 – Compact DB 1.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete stored submissions. The public cf7cdb_ajax_delete_user() AJAX handler accepts an attacker-supplied integer ID and calls $wpdb->delete() on wp_cf7cdb_data without nonce, capability, or ownership checks. No authentication or user interaction is required, and iterating sequential IDs deletes arbitrary contact form entries.
