App-lock bypass via unvalidated WebView URL
Published Jun 12, 2026 · Updated Jun 12, 2026
Improper authorization in Groww Stocks, Mutual Fund, IPO 20260805 on Android allows physically proximate attackers to load external content. The internal genesys.common.activities.WebActivity accepts an externally supplied URL through ADB and renders it in an application WebView without domain allowlisting or app-lock revalidation. Exploitation requires physical or debugging access, ADB enabled, and an existing authenticated session; it enables JavaScript and deceptive content but not server-side authentication bypass.
