Authenticated template disclosure via unchecked edit capability
Published Mar 26, 2026 · Updated Mar 26, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Elementor Website Builder 3.35.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read nonpublic templates. The is_allowed_to_read_template() check accepts any non-published template selected by template_id without verifying that the requester can edit it. Contributor-level access to the elementor_ajax get_template_data action is sufficient to disclose private or draft template content; no write access is reported.
