SQL injection via unescaped dialog template literals
Published Jun 18, 2026 · Updated Jun 18, 2026
SQL injection in pgAdmin 4 1.0 through 9.15 allows remote authenticated users to execute SQL as the connected PostgreSQL role. Sixteen dialog templates place user-supplied descriptions directly inside single-quoted COMMENT ON literals without the qtLiteral filter, while ten statistics templates embed relation names in quoted function arguments. Exploitation requires permission to create or alter an affected object; a planted quote breaks the literal, and a PostgreSQL superuser connection can extend injected SQL to host commands.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
