Management-plane crash via oversized multipart boundary
Published Nov 1, 2026 · Updated Nov 1, 2026
Buffer overflow in Ruijie Networks RG-ES208GC ESW_1.0(1)B1P48 allows remote attackers to crash management via httpupg.cgi. Across the affected RG-ES models, the firmware-upgrade handler copies an oversized multipart Content-Type boundary into a fixed-size buffer before authentication. A complete upload body triggers management-plane failure for approximately 8–15 seconds until watchdog recovery; repeated requests sustain denial of service without credentials.
