oEmbed token overwrite via missing nonce validation
Published Jul 8, 2026 · Updated Jul 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Smash Balloon Social Photo Feed 6.11.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to overwrite oEmbed access tokens. The maybe_connection_data function persists sbi_oembed_token and cff_oembed_token values from GET requests without verifying the sbi_con nonce. Exploitation requires an administrator with an active session to open a crafted link, changing the site's Instagram and Facebook oEmbed credentials.
