CVE-2026-11997Network attack vector

Image ALT-text overwrite via missing nonce validation

Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026

Cross-site request forgery in Bulk SEO Image 1.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to overwrite image ALT-text metadata sitewide. The BulkSeoImage() settings handler accepts the bulkseoimage POST flag and dispatches to launchbulk() and BulkSeoImageGo() without emitting or verifying a WordPress nonce. A site administrator must submit the forged request, after which the plugin rewrites _wp_attachment_image_alt for images attached to published posts or pages.
