Stored XSS via raw report descriptions
Published Jun 22, 2026 · Updated Jun 22, 2026
Stored XSS in Akaunting 3.1.21 allows remote authenticated users with report-editing permission to execute script in viewers' browsers. The create and update jobs persist the description without sanitization, and Blade templates emit it as raw output in the edit textarea and report index. A victim must open the affected report page; injected markup then runs in the Akaunting origin with the victim's authenticated browser privileges.
