CVE-2026-1199Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Excess password guesses via lockout race

Published Aug 18, 2026 · Updated Aug 18, 2026

Authentication throttling in Zabbix before 6.0.47, 7.0.28, and 7.4.12 allows remote attackers extra password guesses via concurrent failed logins. The Frontend and API login lockout logic does not properly synchronize simultaneous unsuccessful authentication requests, so overlapping failures are undercounted in the block counter. Reachability requires access to a Zabbix login endpoint and expands the online password-guessing window, with no published evidence that the flaw by itself grants code execution or configuration changes.

Exploitability

Present is not the same as exploitable

Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
