CVE-2026-11986Network attack vector

Delegated-admin role removal via coarse authorization

Published Jun 11, 2026 · Updated Jun 11, 2026

Authorization bypass in Red Hat build of Keycloak 26.6 before 26.6.5 allows remote authenticated users to remove privileged roles. The admin-ui-ext user and group bulk-delete endpoints call requireMapRoles but omit the per-role requireMapRole check enforced by the standard API. Delegated administrators with manage-users permission can therefore strip sensitive realm-management roles from other administrators, disrupting their administrative access.
