Code execution via startup DLL loading
Published Jul 30, 2026 · Updated Jul 30, 2026
DLL loading in IBM Aspera Desktop App 1.0.5 through 1.0.19 allows local users to execute arbitrary code during application startup. IBM has not disclosed the DLL filename, search path, or loader call responsible for accepting the untrusted library. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access and user interaction, and successful code runs in the launching application's context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
