Unauthenticated account deletion via Stripe exception handler
Published Jul 17, 2026 · Updated Jul 17, 2026
Authorization bypass in WPEverest User Registration & Membership before 5.2.3 allows remote attackers to delete payment-pending accounts. The public Stripe-subscription AJAX action accepts a caller-supplied member_id, and its exception handler deletes that user after a forced Stripe failure. Exploitation requires an exposed membership page, a configured paid Stripe tier and webhook secret, and a recently registered account with a pending payment.
