CVE-2026-11962Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated RCE via unchecked elFinder file operations

Published Jul 6, 2026 · Updated Jul 6, 2026

Unrestricted file upload in Softaculous FileOrganizer before 1.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code on the server. The elFinder mkfile and put commands create a PHP file and write its body without file-type checks, while rename can change an allowed upload to a .php name. Access requires a WordPress account with file-manager permission; the free default restricts this to administrators, while the Pro add-on can grant it to lower roles, enabling execution with the web server's privileges.
