CVE-2026-11958

Local privilege escalation via temporary-directory DLL loading

Published Jun 18, 2026 · Updated Jun 18, 2026

Uncontrolled DLL loading in ANSSI DFIR-ORC 10.2.7 and earlier allows local users to gain administrator privileges on Windows. DFIR-ORC extracts and runs from C:\Windows\Temp with administrative privileges, allowing Windows DLL search order to load an attacker-planted library from that shared directory. Exploitation requires prior local access, permission to write the DLL into the temporary directory, and privileged execution of DFIR-ORC.
