Authenticated stored XSS via unsafe modal rendering
Published Jun 22, 2026 · Updated Jun 22, 2026
Stored XSS in Akaunting 3.1.21 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a crafted record name in a delete modal. The delete confirmation component passes the stored model name to Vue's v-html directive, treating attacker-controlled markup as executable HTML instead of text. Record creation or modification permission is required, and execution occurs when another authenticated user opens the affected delete confirmation flow.
