Stack-trace disclosure and log exhaustion via malformed requests
Published Sep 1, 2026 · Updated Sep 1, 2026
Improper error handling in Red Hat Certificate System and RHEL allows remote attackers to disclose stack traces and amplify CA logs. POST /ca/rest/certrequests processes unauthenticated malformed input through an exception path that returns HTTP 500 and writes multiline Java traces. Repeated requests require no authentication and create gradual disk growth and I/O contention, without code execution or a direct service crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
