Arbitrary file write via ZIPX path traversal
Published Feb 2, 2026 · Updated Feb 2, 2026
Path traversal in ABC PRO EAP Legislator 2.25 and earlier allows attackers to write files outside the extraction directory via crafted ZIPX archives. The ZIPX extraction function accepts archive-controlled paths and writes embedded files to those paths without confining them to the intended destination. Exploitation requires a victim to open a crafted archive; writing into a startup folder can execute attacker-supplied content under the victim's account.
