CVE-2026-11859Network attack vector

Email interface manipulation via unescaped token memo

Published Jun 10, 2026 · Updated Jun 10, 2026

HTML injection in Thinkst Applied Research Canarytokens allows remote attackers to alter fetch-links emails through crafted token memos. The fetch-links notification template inserts the attacker-controlled memo field into the HTML email body without escaping it. Exploitation requires an alert recipient to use an HTML-rendering mail client; injected links, markup, and images can impersonate trusted notification content.
