CVE-2026-11832Network attack vector

OAuth replay protection weakened via predictable nonce

Published Jun 15, 2026 · Updated Jun 15, 2026

Predictable nonce generation in Biafra Dancer2::Plugin::Auth::OAuth before 0.22 weakens OAuth 1.0 replay protection for remote attackers. The _default_args_v1 routine hashes the current epoch time with MD5 to create the default nonce instead of drawing from a secure random source. Exposure requires an application to use the plugin's default OAuth 1.0 arguments; the published record does not establish signature forgery or authentication bypass.
