Confidential issue-title disclosure via unredacted nested reference
Published Mar 12, 2026 · Updated Mar 12, 2026
Information disclosure in affected GitLab CE/EE versions allows remote authenticated users to read confidential issue titles. The Banzai abstract reference filter retains nested link HTML in link_content_html and fails to redact a confidential issue reference before rendering a merge request comment. Exploitation requires an authenticated account, a public victim project with restricted or confidential issues, and a crafted nested link; exposure is limited to issue titles.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
