Information disclosure via unprotected classifieds-types endpoint
Published Aug 18, 2026 · Updated Aug 18, 2026
Authorization bypass in WPAdverts before 2.3.3 allows remote attackers to read internal site configuration via the classifieds-types REST endpoint. The affected REST handler in class-rest-blocks.php returns registered post types, taxonomy labels, form scheme metadata, contact options, and custom field meta keys without an effective authorization check on vulnerable releases. No account or user interaction is required; published records describe configuration disclosure only and do not report data modification or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
