CVE-2026-11779Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated account unlock via permissive default access

Published Jun 26, 2026 · Updated Jun 26, 2026

Improper authorization in Payload 3.84.1 allows remote authenticated users to unlock arbitrary accounts through the unlock API. The default access.unlock rule accepts any authenticated user, and resetLoginAttempts clears the target account's lockUntil value and loginAttempts counter. An auth-enabled collection using login-attempt locking must inherit the default rule; exploitation defeats its brute-force protection.
