Resource exhaustion via unrestricted GraphQL aliases
Published Jan 19, 2026 · Updated Jan 19, 2026
Uncontrolled resource consumption in Birkir Gudjonsson Prime 0.4.0.beta allows remote attackers to consume server resources via /graphql. The GraphQL alias handler processes repeated aliases for the same field in one query without enforcing an alias-count limit. No authentication or user interaction is required, but the published proof of concept does not establish a crash or complete outage threshold.
