Stack-based buffer overflow in NETGEAR Nighthawk router firmware allows remote authenticated users to modify router software and functionality. NETGEAR has not disclosed the affected component, input field, or unsafe copy operation that overruns the stack buffer. Exploitation requires an administrator account and local-network adjacency; the disclosed consequence is unauthorized software and functionality changes.
