CVE-2026-11719Network attack vector

Authenticated restricted-tool execution via legacy protocol handlers

Published Jun 18, 2026 · Updated Jun 18, 2026

Authorization bypass in Google MCP Toolbox for Databases before 1.4.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute restricted tools. The 2025-06-18, 2025-03-26, and 2024-11-05 handlers invoke requested tools without enforcing each tool's scopesRequired setting. A low-privilege token is sufficient when the client selects an older MCP-Protocol-Version value or omits the header, which defaults processing to the 2024-11-05 handler.
