Cross-host authentication reuse via unbound session resumption
Published Jun 25, 2026 · Updated Jun 25, 2026
Improper authentication in wolfSSL 3.15.0 through 5.9.1 allows remote authenticated users to reuse peer identity across TLS virtual hosts. Stateful session-ID resumption accepts a cached session without binding its original SNI and ALPN values to the new handshake, unlike ticket resumption. Exploitation requires a reusable authenticated session and differing client-authentication policies, enabling cached peer-authentication state to cross host or protocol contexts.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
