Unauthenticated service interruption via GraphQL complexity limits
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 16, 2026
Denial of service in GitLab CE/EE 18.4.6 through 19.1.7, 19.2 through 19.2.5, and 19.3 through 19.3.1 allows remote attackers to interrupt service. The GraphQL complexity calculation logic applies improper resource-allocation limits to attacker-controlled queries, allowing requests to consume resources beyond intended bounds. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the documented consequence is availability loss rather than data exposure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=18.4.6 <19.1.8
- Affected versionversion=19.2 <19.2.6
- Affected versionversion=19.3 <19.3.2
