Popup status changes via self-generated nonce
Published Jan 31, 2026 · Updated Jan 31, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in AYS Pro Popup Box 6.1.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to change popup publish status. The publish_unpublish_popupbox function creates and verifies its own nonce instead of validating a nonce supplied with the request. Exploitation requires a site administrator to follow a crafted link or submit a forged request, enabling unauthorized publication or unpublication of popups.
