Authenticated metadata disclosure via unchecked post duplication
Published Jul 15, 2026 · Updated Jul 15, 2026
Authorization bypass in WPChill Kali Forms before 2.4.17 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary private post metadata. The post-duplication AJAX action accepts a caller-supplied post ID without a per-object capability check, then publishes a copied post under the caller's authorship with every custom field intact. Contributor-level access and a valid session-bound nonce suffice to copy posts of any owner, type, or status and expose secrets stored in their metadata.
