Unauthenticated Media Library upload via unchecked form association
Published Jul 15, 2026 · Updated Jul 15, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in WPChill Kali Forms before 2.4.17 allows remote attackers to place permitted files in the Media Library. The kaliforms_get_js_var AJAX action exposes a nonce that kaliforms_form_upload_file accepts without confirming an existing form or file-upload field. No form is required; WordPress blocks disallowed MIME types, and permitted uploads are public but transient, with no demonstrated code execution.
