Authenticated SQL injection via unvalidated URI table name
Published Jun 8, 2026 · Updated Jun 8, 2026
SQL injection in MySQL MCP Server 0.2.0 through 0.2.2 allows remote authenticated users to read database data through a crafted URI. The read_resource handler extracts the table segment from uri_str and inserts it directly into a SELECT f-string without validation, quoting, or parameterization. Access to an MCP resource URI is required, and injected SQL runs with the configured MySQL account's permissions, limiting disclosure to data that account can read.
