Authenticated code execution via unbounded callback formatting
Published Jun 8, 2026 · Updated Jun 8, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC18 15.03.05.05 allows remote authenticated users to crash its web service or execute code. The sub_45304 handler passes the callback value and an internal status string to sprintf without a length check, writing the result into a fixed 64-byte stack buffer. Low-privileged access to the web management interface is required, and an oversized HTTP POST value can overwrite control data.
