Authenticated student impersonation via interpolated nic parameter
Published Jun 8, 2026 · Updated Jun 8, 2026
SQL injection in Kushan2k Student Management System allows remote authenticated users to impersonate students through certificate verification. The GradeController POST handler applies HTML encoding to nic, but getStatus interpolates it into a mysqli query instead of binding a parameter. A low-privileged account can submit a boolean expression that returns another student's ID, stores it in the session, and exposes that student's personal and course records.
