Browser script execution via unencoded room input
Published Jun 7, 2026 · Updated Jun 7, 2026
Cross-site scripting in SourceCodester Hospital's Patient Records Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to run scripts via room input. The /admin/?page=room_types handler writes the room parameter into a web page without encoding or filtering, causing injected markup to execute as script. The exploit report states that no login is required, while the published severity assessments assume administrative privileges and a victim viewing the affected output; confirmed impact is limited to browser-side integrity.
