Authenticated data disclosure via ignored collection authorization
Published Jun 7, 2026 · Updated Jun 7, 2026
Improper access control in Zilliz DeepSearcher 0.0.1 through 0.0.2 allows remote authenticated users to read restricted collection data. CollectionRouter.invoke ignores caller authorization fields in kwargs, selects from globally listed collections, and passes those selections into downstream vector database searches. Exposure requires a shared or multi-tenant service that treats collections as an access-control boundary; the result is unauthorized retrieval or summarization, not data modification.
