Authenticated project hierarchy changes via parentId authorization bypass
Published Jun 6, 2026 · Updated Jun 6, 2026
Improper authorization in OneDev 15.0.0 through 15.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to alter project parent relationships. The /projects/ Parent Project Handler accepts a user-controlled project.parentId value without enforcing authorization for the selected parent project. Low-privileged OneDev access is required, and a successful request changes project hierarchy relationships beyond the user's authorized scope.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
