Arbitrary file overwrite via unvalidated cloud filenames
Published Jun 5, 2026 · Updated Jun 5, 2026
Path traversal in MoviePilot before 2.13.4 allows remote authenticated users to overwrite files through crafted cloud filenames. The AliPan, U115, and Rclone download handlers append untrusted fileitem.name values to the download directory without basename normalization or path validation. Exploitation requires a configured cloud integration and control of returned filename metadata; writes are limited to paths writable by the application process.
