Privilege escalation in AWS Advanced JDBC Wrapper 3.0.0 through 4.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to gain another RDS user's privileges. GlobalAuroraPgDialect issues unqualified Aurora topology-function calls, allowing PostgreSQL search-path resolution to select attacker-created functions. Exploitation requires a low-privilege database account and a higher-privileged user, including rds_superuser, to connect through the affected wrapper.
