Stored script execution via unvalidated widget tags
Published Jul 14, 2026 · Updated Jul 14, 2026
Stored XSS in News Kit Addons For Elementor 1.4.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through widget settings. The Site Logo Title and Single Author Box renderers accept client-side SELECT values as HTML tag names without server-side allowlisting and emit insufficiently escaped output. Contributor-level access and modification of an elementor_ajax save request are required; the stored script runs when a user opens the injected page.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
