Code injection in Canonical Ubuntu Pro Client before 37.3 allows remote attackers to execute code as root through a tampered contract response. The client formats directives.suites[] and directives.aptURL into root-owned APT source files without filtering newlines, then supplies additionalPackages[] to apt-get. Exploitation requires control of, or trusted-CA interception of, the contract response; the resulting APT entries install attacker-controlled packages.
