Authenticated SSRF via unchecked new_link destination
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
SSRF in JoomUnited WP Meta SEO 4.5.18 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to access internal services via new_link. The broken-link AJAX handler uses new_link directly as an outbound destination without restricting internal hosts, then returns the response status as status_code. Contributor-level WordPress access is required; the oracle supports internal-host and cloud-metadata probing, while request effects depend on the target service.
