Bluetooth host crash via stale ATT callback
Published Aug 4, 2026 · Updated Aug 4, 2026
Use-after-free in Zephyr RTOS 4.4.0 through 4.4.1 allows physically proximate attackers to crash the Bluetooth host via ATT disconnects. The deferred att_on_sent_cb completion dereferences meta->att_chan after bt_att_released frees the channel slab slot. An ATT-connected peer needs no pairing or user interaction; disconnecting during routine traffic causes a host crash and can corrupt a reused slot.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
