Subscriber-level unauthorized plugin installation via unchecked AJAX handler
Published Jul 9, 2026 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Missing authorization in ProfileGrid WooCommerce Integration 3.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to install and activate ProfileGrid. The pg_install_profilegrid() AJAX handler accepts an authenticated wp_ajax_pg_install_profilegrid request without a capability check or nonce validation, then installs and activates the plugin. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and the bounded consequence is an unauthorized change to the site's installed and active plugins.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
