CVE-2026-11332

Code execution via git clone argument injection

Published Jun 5, 2026 · Updated Jun 5, 2026

Argument injection in ansible-galaxy in Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform 2.5 through 2.7 allows attackers to execute code through a malicious role. The installer passes dependency src and name values to git clone through Popen without a -- separator, causing a leading Git configuration flag to be parsed as an option rather than a repository. Exploitation requires a user to install an attacker-authored role or malicious dependency with ansible-galaxy role install, after which injected commands run on that user's machine.
