Same-origin policy bypass via crafted PreviewTab flow
Published Jun 4, 2026 · Updated Jun 4, 2026
Same-origin policy bypass in PreviewTab in Google Chrome on Android before 149.0.7827.53 allows remote attackers to cross origin boundaries. PreviewTab insufficiently enforces origin policy when a crafted HTML page drives the affected preview flow; Google has not disclosed the exact faulty check or code path. Exploitation requires an unauthenticated remote attacker to convince a user to perform specific UI gestures, and the published impact is an integrity breach rather than code execution or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
